New Member Classes
First Presbyterian Church holds New Member Classes three times each year.
Classes meet on Sunday, following worship. Lunch is served and child care is offered. New members learn about Presbyterianism, our worship style and our congregation's history.
New members may join the church by obtaining a letter of transfer from another congregation, by reaffirming their faith, or by being baptized. Whichever method one chooses, they need to attend the new member class.
The Sunday following the class, new members are introduced in the worship service.
Non-members may receive all services the church offers. Only members may serve on boards of the church, vote at congregational meetings and present children for baptism.
